Sierra Valley, California ~ Photographs ~ 30 May 2010

These were all taken in Sierra Valley on Memorial Day, 30 May 2010…Chilcoot, Loyalton, Sierraville area. The valley is beauitful (it’s always beautiful) right now, nice and green.

The Meadowlarks were singing up a storm…as were the Red-Winged Blackbirds. Lots to yellow and purple wildflowers. Happy cows. Happy ME! Especially when we stopped by the Frosty Freeze (not sure if that’s the real name), across from Wiggins and had a 1/2 & 1/2 ice cream cone. :)

I'm Michelle and live in Northern Nevada ~ beautiful mix of high desert and the Sierra. While I work at the University, I'd rather garden, cook, craft and make quilts. :)

I cannot imagine looking at that and seeing the incredible expanse of it all. Florida just does not have that kind of scenery.

  4. :) Thankies.

Yes…I do live in a beautiful area.
