Ok…I’m addicted to Hexagons

Hi…my name is Michelle, and I’m addicted to hexagons. Boy! It sure didn’t take long either! I took to hexies faster than to a Hostess Ding Dong! :)

I cut out 2.5″ squares of some 1930′s repo fabric that I hadn’t packed away yet, just to play around with. Wasn’t too sure I’d like making them. Not sure what I was going to make, either. Still don’t, actually. But I do know I’m going to be pulling out some of my batik scraps and play with them! I really like hand-stitching them.

The whites look a bit pink because they still have the paper hexagons in them.

  1. I just had a vision of you sitting on the floor in your new kitchen, surrounded by towers of unopened moving boxes and (loud, unfed cats) as you feverishly cut out more hexagons.

Seriously though, that block looks perfect!!

I still have the quilt my nanny made me. It’s all hexagons in yellows and browns. Some of the hexagons need to be replaced but I love it so :)
