Gone to the Birds…

Red-Tail and Kestrel taken at Rancho San Rafael Park in Reno…Scrub Jays and Robin at my house (taken through a dirty window…sorry).

And…hopefully this pretty guy is one of the Ranger’s or neighbor’s kitty…he’s pretty well fed for a stray (taken at the park).

Beautiful, beautiful birds! My first thought when I saw the kitty was “Oh Oh”! What size lens are you using to get such close up pics of the birds? Love seeing your photos.

LOL! Kitty was just enjoying the sunshine…wasn’t after the birds, nor were the hawks after him.

The lens on my Panasonic FZ150 is a “25 mm ultra wide-angle Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens with 24x optical zoom”. Just the standard lens it comes with from the factory…I haven’t bought any new lens for it yet.

That first picture of the hawk was a DAMN YOU BIRD…stop flying from tree to tree! I’m trying to take your picture! The second one…I spotted in a tree, but the trail didn’t get close to it and we can’t veer off the trail in that area of the park.

  3. I really enjoyed your bird photos – very nice work. And I couldn’t help but be amused when I saw the last pic was of a cat! Lol :-)

  4. Moving birds – that’s always my problem. Well done on your photos – particularly the red-tail hawk.

Great Pics! I know what you mean about the animals moving when you go to press the shutter button. I’ve said a few choice words myself, LOL!

I love these pictures! The jay on the fence looks like a bird with a complaint, though. :D

    I miss robins.
