What’s Your Favorite Handmade Soap Scent?

A couple of friends and I are busy making up things for an undetermined craft fair (later in the year)…I’m quilting, sewing, printing photographs, and will be making cold-process soap.

Put an order into Brambleberry and received my oils, butters, and lye (figured I can buy olive and sunflower oil here in town).

What’s your favorite smellies for soap?

HINT HINT…I like to make Oatmeal Milk & Honey, Peppermint, and Lavender. But was wondering what other people liked.

  1. I’ve been leaning towards citrus scents like orange and lemon. Also, I have an addiction for vanilla scent.

  2. Ooohhh…I love orange too. But with citrus oils, you have to anchor it with something else as they burn off in the process. So an orange-vanilla (creamcicle) would be nice.

  3. I’m partial to anything lemon and/or lemon verbena, but I also really love spicy like cinnamon/clove. MMMMmmm. It can make the whole bathroom smell yummy. What’s your favorite?

  4. I love earthy scents, the lavendar-vanilla, the rosemary-mind, sandlewood, the vanilla-rose. Nothing with food scents, although one of my favorite handmade stick lotions was chocolate mint lol.

  5. I didn’t know that about citrus scents. No wonder I have always LOVED dreamsicles, two of my favorite smells. I have this Lemongrass/Sage hand lotion that I adore. Rosemary….I love the smell of rosemary but it tastes like soap to me.
