FOR TODAY … 04 August 2008
Outside My Window…Blue sky! Construction workers getting ready for the new building at work.
I am thinking…What is wrong with my cat? Why has he biten me two times in one week, infecting me with cellulitis?! Oye!
I am thankful for… my doctor.
From the kitchen… cucumbers from the garden waiting to brined into pickles!
I am wearing… Brown and tan stripe dress, berks and a pretty copper beaded bracelet a friend made me.
I am creating… a braided hemp necklace to hang one of my hammered copper pendants that I made…cutting out a couple of lap quilts…learning new knots.
I am going… work and think of a landscape design for the ne corner of our property now that all those stupid junipers are GONE GONE GONE!
I am reading…That Dorky Homemade Look ~ Quilting Lessons from a Parallel Universe by Lisa Boyer and the new American Patchwork & Quilting magazine that just came in the mail.
I am hoping… that my husband can find a job real quick as he is out of work again.
I am hearing… The hum of the chillers that just came on in the building, elevator outside our office, grad students pulling themselves into work , not a happy sound at all! 🙂
Around the house… it’s pretty clean! My husband did the dishes, picked up and vaccumed. I did the laundry. My craft room doesn’t count! Honest!
One of my favorite things… watching the scrub jays in my yard…I love them talking to me and feeding them goobers.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… make lap quilts and prep the ne corner for planting.
Here is picture thought I’d share with you… Flowers from Rancho San Rafael Park
