FOR TODAY … 8 December 2008
Outside My Window… It’s dark out…I’m writing this Sunday night since I have Monday off and will be at the sewing machine and over the stove finishing Christmas presents.
I am thinking… The Sparks Hometown Christmas Parade was a lot of fun…there were about 100 participants! It was a long parade. I gotta get some packages ready to mail out.
I am thankful for… That my husband can work at least two more weeks, was just out of work for 3 days until they decided to bring him back for 3 weeks.
From the kitchen… Russian Tea Cookies, Ginger Cookies, Garlic/Artichoke Turkey Sausage pasta dish I whipped up…french bread too.
I am wearing… blue jeans, tennies and a forest green turtleneck…wild hair, not up in a pony tail, although it probably should be.
I am creating… My nephew’s magician’s cape.
I am going… make chocolate/oatmeal/peanut butter no make cookies.
I am reading… Finished reading Lynn Kurland’s STAR OF THE MORNING
A Novel of the Nine Kingdoms #1, will walk down to the used bookstore on Monday to see if they have the second book of the series.
I am hoping… hmmm…not really hoping for anything at the moment.
I am hearing… The Librarian on TNT…I think it’s the 3rd Librarian movie.
Around the house… small load of laundry tonight, kitchen is clean, cats curled up on the couch, I’m sitting in front of the space heater.
One of my favorite things… Sleeping in a cold room under 3-4 quilts…so many that it’s heavy and you can’t move!
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… Just finish making Christmas gifts and then getting them in the mail.
Here is a picture thought I’d share with you… Ginger Cookies at various stages.
The Simple Woman’s Daybook will take place each Monday.
Here’s how to take part:
1. Write up and publish your journal page using the questions/picture ideasI have listed below onto your blog. Be as descriptive as you can! This makes it more interesting to your readers. (You may cut and paste them for the purpose to participate in The Simple Woman’s Daybook.)
2. Copy the “permalink” from your “The Simple Woman’s Daybook” post, not the link to the front page of your blog. This will make it much easier for others to find instead of looking through the entire list of entries at your blog for your “daybook”. This will save time for all of us.
3. Come back here and add your permalink to Mister Linky.
