FOR TODAY … 15 December 2008
Outside My Window… Snow Snow Snow ~ It’s snowing on the construction workers.
I am thinking… YEAH! It’s snowing! And it’s POWDER SNOW! I bet all the skiiers are excited…school is out in one weeks time and the slopes will be packed soon. Gotta pull the cookies out of the freezer for tomorrow’s cookie exchange here at work. Better go heat some water up for a cup of tea.
I am thankful for… My church, family, a roof over my head, my space heater under my desk here at work.
From the kitchen… The Great Beet Massacre of Sparks, Nevada. Stay tuned…more on the 11 pm news!
I am wearing… blue jeans, tennies, fuzzy black/grey pull-over.
I am creating… candy, cookies, candles.
I am going… to do the under-grad student time sheets once I’m finished here.
I am reading… just the newspaper at the moment…and 10 Years of Calvin & Hobbes (again)….just love those two.
I am hoping… that it keeps snowing, but that DOT (thankies!) can keep the roads cleared as humanly possible.
I am hearing… me typing. It’s a snowy slow day…oops, I take that back. Lady in the next office just came in…she’s not so quiet! Heh.
Around the house… probably two kitties on my bed (actually one on top and one under the covers) trying to stay warm.
One of my favorite things… Sipping hot mint tea inside on a snow day.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… Make caramels, cookie exchange, package up baked goodies for trash guys, newspaper dude, and post lady.
Here is a picture thought I’d share with you… Snowing in the med school’s court yard.
The Simple Woman’s Daybook will take place each Monday.
Here’s how to take part:
1. Write up and publish your journal page using the questions/picture ideasI have listed below onto your blog. Be as descriptive as you can! This makes it more interesting to your readers. (You may cut and paste them for the purpose to participate in The Simple Woman’s Daybook.)
2. Copy the “permalink” from your “The Simple Woman’s Daybook” post, not the link to the front page of your blog. This will make it much easier for others to find instead of looking through the entire list of entries at your blog for your “daybook”. This will save time for all of us.
3. Come back here and add your permalink to Mister Linky.
