FOR TODAY … 23 March 2009
Outside My Window… Cool morning with sunshine and blue sky…lots of new snow on the mountains.
I am thinking… Thank goodness I took Friday off when it was 70+ degrees outside! Why can’t spring ever come to Nevada as spring, and not winter?! Just once! Am I asking for too much?
I am thankful for… for that beautiful Friday and that my boss let me have the day off…got lots of planting done and a fence up!
From the kitchen… Leftover bbq’d pork loin…
I am wearing… blue jeans, spring pastel plaid keds, black turtleneck.
I am creating… My creating has been put on hold until my CTS dies down a bit after overworking on Friday in the yard.
I am going… (List of things to do in the yard over the week) ~ go over my garden plans…cross off what I have and what I still want. Make a list of what I need to do with the water system and check the drip lines. Clean out the flower beds.
I am reading… the new Hobby Farm Home magazine.
I am hoping… That everyone that is looking for a job, finds one.
I am hearing… voices coming from the conference room; the color printer must have a Brownie in it…it just made a bunch of noise; the HVAC on the roof; construction beeps behind me.
Around the house… 2 new blueberry bushes, 1 elderberry bush, 2 jasmine plants, 4-foot section of new fence up and painted, a Blue Atlas Cedar (THANK YOU, MOM!), broccoli & cabbage planted. I had a very busy day on Friday!
One of my favorite things… working in the yard.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… Quilting and yard work.
Here is a picture thought I’d share with you…
One of the Scrub Jays in the Weeping Cherry that is about to bloom.
The Simple Woman’s Daybook will take place each Monday.
Here’s how to take part:
1. Write up and publish your journal page using the questions/picture ideasI have listed below onto your blog. Be as descriptive as you can! This makes it more interesting to your readers. (You may cut and paste them for the purpose to participate in The Simple Woman’s Daybook.)
2. Copy the “permalink” from your “The Simple Woman’s Daybook” post, not the link to the front page of your blog. This will make it much easier for others to find instead of looking through the entire list of entries at your blog for your “daybook”. This will save time for all of us.
3. Come back here and add your permalink to Mister Linky.
