FOR TODAY … 30 March 2009
Outside My Window… Very cool morning with sunshine and blue sky…hopefully it won’t be gale winds out there today.
I am thinking… I’ve been here in Nevada for 29 years and I’m still not used to it being 73F one day and 53F the next…although I’m pretty sure it was colder than 53F yesterday…could have been the wind chill factor though. I’m going to brew myself a cup of Jasmine Green tea. I need to do a budget revision…probably a few of them. My wee orchid is still alive here on my desk! Wonder how I have a green thumb for anything but orchids…
I am thankful for… the promise of Spring…however fleeting that is.
From the kitchen… not sure what I’m going to make when I get home tonight. Maybe use a coupon for El Pollo Loco.
I am wearing… usual Monday garb for the last month ~ blue jeans and a black turtleneck with a copper/crystal necklace I made.
I am creating… My garden. 🙂 I’ve been procrastinating on my Spring Exchange in one of my craft groups. It’s hard to get excited about an exchange partner who never visits the group unless there is an exchange going on. Maybe I’ll just break down and buy something instead of making my gift.
I am going… to finish cleaning out the iris bed. I know it’s not the right time to dig them up and transplant, but that’s what I’m doing. I still have some in a wheelbarrow to give out…as I already transplanted the ones I wanted along the very front fence. I need to plant my herb bed too.
I am reading… the not-so-new Hobby Farm Home magazine.
I am hoping… My constant wish ~ That everyone that is looking for a job, finds one.
I am hearing… the nice guy that does our landscaping at the north end of campus run the lawnmower…he always has a nice smile and hello ready for you. Mike working on the autoclaves upstairs. Someone writing on the chalkboard in the conference room next to me.
Around the house… Herbs to be planted. Bed sheets need to be washed.
One of my favorite things… Taking drives up to Pyramid Lake and take pictures.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… Quilting, copper hammering and yard work.
Here is a picture thought I’d share with you…
The Simple Woman’s Daybook will take place each Monday.
Here’s how to take part:
1. Write up and publish your journal page using the questions/picture ideasI have listed below onto your blog. Be as descriptive as you can! This makes it more interesting to your readers. (You may cut and paste them for the purpose to participate in The Simple Woman’s Daybook.)
2. Copy the “permalink” from your “The Simple Woman’s Daybook” post, not the link to the front page of your blog. This will make it much easier for others to find instead of looking through the entire list of entries at your blog for your “daybook”. This will save time for all of us.
3. Come back here and add your permalink to Mister Linky.
