FOR TODAY … 11 February 2010

Outside My Window… Cloudy and grey…again.

I am thinking… Why do people drive 10-15 mph under the speed in the fast lane (which is really fun when it’s only posted at 35!)? Why am I magnet for red lights? Why do people ride your arse when they can see 10 vehicles in front of you…where do they want me to go?

I am thankful for… my family and friends and two furry cats to cuddle with.

From the kitchen… Tomato Basil pizza (recipe from Mennonite Girls Can Cook).

I am wearing… Jeans, tennies, and a fuzzy grey pull-over, hair in ponytail.

I am creating… two lap quilts.

I am going… to switch my furlough day and take tomorrow off instead. Four day weekend still, just taking Friday instead of Tuesday as non-pay day. Going to the Nevada Museum of Art to see the Gee’s Bend Quilt show…AND Raphael’s Lady in the Veil.

I am reading… lately, just the newspaper.

I am hoping… My constant wish ~ That everyone that is looking for a job, finds one. (Keep fingers crossed and send up a prayer…my husband is finishing up his second month of work, and still liking it!)

I am hearing… The ice machine, liquid nitrogen tank venting, me still coughing.

Around the house… kitties ripping from one end of the house to the next…Lucy has never been on carpet before!

One of my favorite things… fabric. Cutting fabric and then putting it back together again.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… Quilt. Clean. Donate. Quilt. Go see a movie.

Here is a picture thought I’d share with you…one of my trips to Monterey, California. It’s been a long winter and I really want to go to the ocean.
