Makings of a Water Quilt ~ Fat Quarters to Date

I’m starting to collect fat quarters and 1/2 yards of whatever blue and green fabrics that catches my fancy to make a water/ocean quilt. It looks like I need more greens. Reno will be having a quilt show in June, so hopefully I will be able to collect more FQ’s.

The inspiration is from Jane Brocket’s ‘The Gentle Art of Quiltmaking’…front cover and on page 127, it’s called the Swimming Pool. Mine is not going to look exactly like it…but I am inspired by it. 🙂

I’m excited to see your quilt!! It does look like a swimming pool! I love finding inspiration, and then fine tuning it to how I like it! 🙂

    Snow?? Are you serious? Poo.

Yes I was thinking a little more minty and aqua too. Maybe a touch of periwinkle? Looking good!

I should photo the fabrics I have so far for her Green Green Grass quilt… 😀
