Western Pacific Railroad Museum…train ride

Took my seven year old nephew up to Portola on Saturday for a train ride at the Western Pacific Railroad Musuem.

The cost is $5/person or $12/family of four. They hook up 3-4 cabooses for people to ride in and take you around the yard.

Lunch at Portola’s park (where the swim pool is) to throw some horse shoes and frisbee. Home to take a nap…we wore each other out pretty good. Capped off the evening with pizza, Toy Story 1, and many games of Wii golf, baseball, and bowling.

I'm Michelle and live in Northern Nevada ~ beautiful mix of high desert and the Sierra. While I work at the University, I'd rather take pictures, play with fountain pensioned ink, garden, cook, craft and make quilts. :)

Be still my heart! Is that, um, an old English D, such as Detroit fans immediately recognize as a Tigers insignia??

(Looks like a very fun time!)
