For Today ~ 10 January 2011 ~ Simple Woman’s Daybook

FOR TODAY … 10 January 2011~

Outside My Window… snow on the ground…this window faces north, the snow won’t melt for a long time! 🙂 Traffic on McCarran. Clouds from the next storm moving in.

I am thinking… I’m going to miss my FIL. He was fun to be around.

I am thankful for… my friends and family.

From the kitchen… While the frig is loaded, I didn’t see anything that “sounded” good for dinner tonight. Big sigh.

I am wearing… Jeans, tennies, UNR hooded sweatshir, hair in ponytail.

I am creating… a pinwheel quilt. Lots and lots of bloody pinwheels…118 down, 20 more to go. Finished my January Challege for a group project.

I am going… kick my work computer! Running a scan and just saw it quarantined a Trojan.Gen.2 virus.

I am reading… nothing at the moment.

I am hoping… that my husband can grieve the loss of his dad constructively.

I am hearing… cars outside…the goings on of research lab folks going about their daily business.

Around the house… I have one clean house! Vacuumed, swepted, mopped, floor boards cleaned, bath tub and toilet cleaned, mirrors cleaned, laundry finished. And I made Snickerdoodles! 🙂

One of my favorite things… I can tell you it’s NOT pressing 118 pinwheel parts open!

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… find out what my furlough day is and schedule a back massage (use that gift certificate my sister gave me for Christmas!).

Here is a picture thought I’d share with you…

Snickerdoodles and Peppermint Tea…

I am so sorry about your family’s loss, girlie. Warm hugs…

Mint tea in that cup and saucer; what could be more perfect? Other than your Snickerdoodles?
