FOR TODAY … 14 February 2011.
Outside My Window… Partly cloudy sky, still not a lot of light out…the rising sun must be behind some clouds. Breezy. Very, very, very breezy. That storm front is heading our way. A plastic bag whirling around the rocks and trees. Sea gulls on a thermal.
I am thinking… I HATE this bloody congested cough I’ve had since the 4th! I already feel like I coughed up a lung…obviously the cold wants the other lung.
I am thankful for… that my niece gets to go to New Orleans with mom tomorrow. She is going to have a great time visiting new found family and that beautiful city. 🙂
From the kitchen… I think I’ll make some posole tonight. I have some carnitas and green chiles I can throw into the soup.
I am wearing… Jeans, tennies, long-sleeved grey tshirt-like blouse, hair down.
I am creating… Well…I ripped out the FM quilting I did on the pinwheel quilt, it’s folded and waiting for me to start over on it. I pieced 53 8″ blocks for the orange quilt…still have 46 more to go. I’m going to make it 9 wide x 11 long.
I am going… to turn on my space heater under my desk, it’s chilly under there and I’m still fighting this cold.
I am reading… absolutely nothing at the moment.
I am hoping… that my cold goes away. my niece and mom have a safe flight. my sister has a successful meeting this afternoon. we get lots of snow up in the mountains during this upcoming storm.
I am hearing… traffic on McCarran. Someone opening up one of the labs.
Around the house… Clean! Both my husband and I had off sleeping patterns this weekend. He cleaned the whole kitchen (even mopped!) at 2:30 am Saturday…I followed with vacuuming, dusting, and the bathroom. I did the laundry around midnight Friday. Stupid cold medicine had me whacked.
One of my favorite things… a cough-less night.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… quilt.
Here is a picture thought I’d share with you…
