For Today ~ 03 September 2011 ~ Simple Woman’s Daybook

FOR TODAY … 03 September 2011.

Outside My Window… It’s night-time…so it’s a bit dark outside at the moment. 🙂

I am thinking… There is still so much to do with the new house. We’re all moved in, but every time I turn around I see something to do. LOL! We’re getting there!

I am thankful for… My friends. Especially April…Ruth…and Mary.

From the kitchen… I made chicken burgers and some sauted zucchini and crook-neck yellow squash (freshly picked from Ruth’s garden yesterday morning). Tomorrow I’ll be making a tomato, basil, and mozzarella salad to take up to Truckee.

I am wearing… shorts, a really old t-shirt with lots of paint all over it, bare-foot.

I am creating… nothing, still unpacking and painting and pruning. But I do have my sewing room mostly set up! That’s the one room that is 100% FINISHED! WooHoo!

I am going… finished this post up and watch Monty Python’s Meaning of Life.

I am reading… nothing at the moment.

I am hoping… that our deposit return gets here soon!

I am hearing… Leo wanting to go outside, he’s loving the backyard! As are we for it has a 6 foot fence and we can let him roam around when we’re out there with him.

Around the house… well…not as many boxes as before! 🙂

One of my favorite things… seeing the end of your hard work.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… finish pruning the elm trees. We cut down two large limbs that were hanging over the drive way and house! Then some sort of tree out back…was thinning it out. Also going through the boxes out in the garage to get ready for a yard sale soon. Not sure which weekend yet.

Here is a picture thought I’d share with you…
