For Today ~ 07 November 2011 ~ Simple Woman’s Daybook

FOR TODAY … 07 November 2011.

Outside My Window… Big ole clouds set against blue sky. Traffic driving by. Leafless trees. Grasses blowing…must be a breeze out there.

I am thinking… life’s too short to worry about other people’s prespective of you.

I am thankful for… my friends…they keep me grounded.

From the kitchen… Leftovers from last night…Leek Potato Artichoke Casserole.

I am wearing… jeans, tennis shoes, a grey fuzzy sweater.

I am creating… finished quilting the ocean quilt.

I am going… to have lunch with two coworkers today…it’s definitely a soup type of day.

I am reading… the new Mary Jane’s Farm magazine.

I am hoping… my friend April gets well soon, she’s under the weather. That my dad’s procedure this Friday goes well! He’s getting antsy, just wants it over and done with already. 🙂

I am hearing… copier machine, traffic from outside, phones.

Around the house… a few leaves that need raking up. Nothing much.

One of my favorite things… snuggling under a bunch of quilts, with only your nose sticking out, while it’s cold outside.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… get ready for a small craft fair, touch up the paint to the bathroom moulding, plan a lunch menu for 12 ladies here at work, continue quilting.

Here is a picture thought I’d share with you…

A scrub jay in my side yard.

  1. Agreed… can’t stew over other folks’ opinions of us. At least half of the time, their opinion is their problem anyway.

    Ooo, that casserole sounds wonderful!

You know how I feel about that gorgeous quilt.

Did the scrub jays follow you from Sun Valley? 😉

  2. Thankies…me thinks I’ll try to sell it at the craft fair. Just not big enough for me on the couch. 🙂 Would make a great toddler quilt…or lap quilt.

I wish one of the jays from Sparks would have followed me…the one with no foot on the left leg. I loved that scrapper.
