For Today ~ 15 December 2011 ~ A Simple Woman’s Daybook

FOR TODAY … 15 December 2011.

Outside My Window… cloudy with a hint of snow (as in spitting itty-bitty frozen particles), lots of traffic.

I am thinking… lots of thoughts that just keep bouncing into each other and not making sense at all. Could be the allergy/cold meds. Or not. 🙂

I am thankful for… my friends.

From the kitchen… It’s cleaned! Was very chaotic last night while filling everyone’s gift bags full of all the baked goodies I made ~ peanut brittle, three types of fudge, peppermint biscotti, ginger cookies, and russian tea cookies. Tonight?! Going out! Using one our 2 for 1 coupons.

I am wearing… jeans, tennis shoes, a forest green mock turtleneck.

I am creating… nothing at the moment.

I am going… have lunch with the “Dirty Dozen” today…it’s our holiday brunch where we cook for past members. I made a Cranberry Relish salad with fresh cranberries, oranges, apples, pineapple, and raspberry jello.

I am reading… Mitch Albom’s Have A Little Faith.

I am hoping… that Reva heals super fast after her surgery on Tuesday! Sending love and hugs.

I am hearing… a few grads getting ready for their last final of the semester.

Around the house… cleaned. Simple Christmas this year…a little tree full of antique ornaments and that’s it.

One of my favorite things… watching people smile when biting into my baked goods.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… take it easy. Maybe go see Sherlock Holmes!

Here is a picture thought I’d share with you…

Lucy…last night I couldn’t find her! Here is where I finally found her ~ in my bookcase full of quilting books.

      • Oh, that’s too bad. I can imagine that was a tough call to make. If you get a Springer or a Cocker Spaniel *my* husband will probably offer to come take it for walks. They’re the only breed he oohs and ahhs over whereas I have a whole range of dog breeds I love, my favs being poodles, collies, schnauzers and beagles. And Spaniels.
