For Today ~ 09 January 2012 ~ A Simple Woman’s Daybook

FOR TODAY … 09 January 2012.

Outside My Window… Not a cloud in the sky, at least from my window facing north. Lots of large USFS green pipe out in Q&D’s construction holding pen.

I am thinking… I wish my right hand would stop hurting/numb/tingling…I have quilting to finish up. Between my staycation quilting marathon, bowling, horseshoes…my right wrist (C.T.) is shot. I’m dropping things now.

I am thankful for… iced tea.

From the kitchen… Tonight it will be Croque Monsieurs with leftover pea soup.

I am wearing… jeans, tennis shoes, a purple henley.

I am creating… I’m almost finished with the quilting of Jiffy Ric-Rac (a Camille Roskelley pattern). I have my 3.5″ squares all cut out for the Sparkle Punch quilt-along, anxiously awaiting the next step.

I am going… water my plants…just looked up and saw some sad wilting plants looking down at me.

I am reading… The House of Silk ~ a Sherlock Holmes novel by Anthony Horowitz. Am loving it!

I am hoping… my friend, April, gets her car back soon.

I am hearing… Ambulance siren, traffic, folks down the hall on the phone, microwave, someone stomping upstairs.

Around the house… laundry to be washed.

One of my favorite things… ripe, juicy, sweet kiwis!

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… quilt, read, finish raking leaves, curse the warm weather, dance my version of a snow dance in my backyard…where no one can see and laugh at me. šŸ™‚

Here is a picture thought I’d share with you…

  1. Ooo… bad CT – I’m sorry! Those poor hands need a break!

How fun you’re doing the CMs tonight. Can’t wait to hear how they turn out!
