Grandma’s Flower Garden Update…and other quilting

I’ve been working on a few quilting projects off and on, two are hand-pieced quilts ~ Grandma’s Flower Garden and the Farmer’s Wife.

Thought I’d show the progression of the Grandma’s Flower Garden that I’m doing using the English Paper Piecing method…making 1″ hexagons.

When I first started ~

Back in November~

All the flowers I made when I was held hostage at a craft fair ~

From yesterday when I got home from work (I’ve added two more flowers since then) ~

I was PRAYING that we’d get more snow than the 5″ that dropped last night…as I wanted to start sewing on the Bricks and Sticks quilt! I have Kate Spain’s Terrain all cut out…but no, am here at work, enjoying watching the crazy drivers sliding all over the place.

  1. Wow! Your quilt looks great! Pretty soon you’ll be able to have it wrapped around you as a finished work of art! 🙂

Isn’t that the worst about snow? In Colorado, we pretty much had to go out in it all the time! Even if it was a few inches! That’s why I like it here – a slight dusting makes everyone stay home!

  2. I know you also go to work, garden, preserve food, mess about with Photoshop ( say that repectfully but knowing how time-consuining it is) do photgraphy and go on expeditions with your husband. What’s the secret?
