FOR TODAY … 18 January 2013
Outside My Window… There’s a pogonip moving through the valley. The freezing fog is putting a frost onto everything in it’s path. Even me while walking down the hill from the parking lot to work!
I am thinking… I wish I could shake this head cold. My nose is red and sore and I’m tired of coughing.
I am thankful for… Kleneex with “potion” in it.
From the kitchen… I made a “hmmm…what’s in the frig that I can put into the pot?” dinner last night. Onion, garlic, red and orange peppers, mushrooms, spinach, chicken sausage, tofu…all tossed with brown rice and Israeli couscous a splash of olive oil and fig balsamic vinegar.
I am wearing… Jeans, tennies, black mock turtleneck, purple wool sweater.
I am creating… I’ve been pulling out the triangles I cut out a while back and sewing them into rows. The fabric is Frolic by Sandy Gervais for Moda.
I am going… To check out the movie schedule for the weekend. Still have some movie passes from Christmas.
I am reading… All Roads Lead to Austen: A Year-long Journey with Jane by Amy Smith.
I am hoping… It warms up into the 40’s with some sunshine.
I am hearing… Muted sounds due to the fog.
Around the house… laundry needs to be done and the kitchen floor needs to be mopped.
One of my favorite things… Books and a teapot full of hot vanilla chai tea.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week… Not really sure.
Here is a picture thought I’d share with you…
The photos of Lucy and Leo are so sweet!
Love your kitties. Makes me want a nap with them!
Good to hear you’ve pulled out your fabric again. How are those hexies coming along?
The pogonip shot is amazing!
Kitties are so cute. How times have changed since Leo went up onto high places to avoid little Miss Lucy. 😉
Sounds like you need a hot toddy…. 1 shot of whiskey, 1-2 tablespoons of honey, 1 tablespoon lemon juice all in a 8-12 ounce glass. Fill the glass with hot water and drink. It will taste terrible, but you’ll feel better in the morning.
Whiskey and honey…always does the trick. But I figured it was because you really didn’t care how you felt afterwards. LOL!
