My sister and I, along with her two kiddos, hopped into a rented Ford Fiesta last Thursday and headed to Las Vegas to see our dad.
Reno, Fernley, Fallon, Schurz, Hawthorne, Mina/Luning, Tonapah, Goldfield, Beatty, Indian Springs, Las Vegas…mostly at 75-80 mph. With a few “I have to use that sagebrush! NOW!” stops.
I started taking photographs at Walker Lake. Hold onto your seat and wipe the bugs off your teeth. When you see the fuzzy dark spots…those ARE bugs as I shot through the windshield.
Will post pics on the way back from Las Vegas in another post.

Walker Lake.

Walker Lake…very low water level.

Hawthorne Army Depot

Boundary Peak.

Boundary Peak.

Somewhere before Tonapah.

Area with a cell tower to the right where we all grabbed our phones.

Mountain range after mountain range after mountain range…you know you’re in Nevada when. LOL!

Driving into Goldfield NOT AT 75 MPH! Haunted Goldfield Hotel to the right.

Goldfield Court House.

Joshua Trees.

More Joshua Trees keeping guard.

Twilight in Southern Nevada.

Sun setting.

Full moon rising! This was a sagebrush stop and shoot the moon.

Hey, this all looks familiar. We picked Ryker up in Beatty two weeks ago. Actually, your pics make it look nicer than it was.
LOL! I noticed we grow bigger sagebrush up here in the north.
Gorgeous!! (*splat*)
