I dropped my husband off at the rail yard (Railroad Museum) and drove around the old part of Portola (over the bridge, south of the river) looking for the show. Stopped off at Homestead Fabrics, asked for directions, and found three VERY PRETTY batiks!
I got the three, from the right, pink, purple, and cream/brown from at Homestead…the brown, on the left, is from the quilt show (me thinks it was from Blue Petunia Gifts).
I didn’t know I could bring in my camera so all the pictures were taken with my blackberry phone.
My two favorites were wall hangings ~ approximately 36″x36″ in size…give or take a few inches. The first is a lighthouse done with Storm at Sea blocks…wee ITTY BITTY blocks! The second…the CUTEST barn with sheep, with columbine flowers and flying geese blocks.
I thought of Shari (Tickled Red) when I saw this wall-hanging…California Surfer Girl.
Here is a wee (36×36) Underground Railroad!
Very pretty 3-D flowers (not really sure how to describe it other than the flowers are dimensional)…one is a crazy quilt.
The rest are just very pretty quilts that caught my eye.
