Red-Breasted Nuthatch

I forgot to share a few pictures I took on the 26th of October. We were at Bower’s Mansion State Park down in Washoe Valley…throwing some horseshoes when a heard a lot of noise up in the trees. Finally spied a wee birdie that acted like a kid hyped up on Mt. Dew. 🙂

Birds, Birds, and More Birds

Spent Sunday morning up at TTT ~ Tahoe Timber Trails (just north of Truckee off of 89) ~ helping the inlaws build up a barrier wall. Actually my husband helped…I took pictures of the birdies. There were Mountain Chickadees, Nuthatch, Downy Woodpecker, and Blue Jays.

And here is one of my Scrub Jays that live in my yard ~ he’s wanting to know where his goobers are. He looks a little cranky, eh? Well…he had every right to be so…as I was drinking a Sierra Nevada Ale instead of getting off my arse to throw the goobers.
