San Francisco ~ Part III ~ Dutch Windmill & Golden Gate Bridge

Ok…Part III of our weekend trip to San Francisco.

The following photographs were taken on Sunday…got up and parked at Ocean Beach on the west side of the Golden Gate Park so I can walk over to the Dutch Windmill (construction completed in 1902). The Murphy Windmill on the SW side of the park was dismantled for restoration. It was still foggy so the lighting isn’t the best.

Onto the Golden Gate Bridge…all taken from The Presidio along the coastal bluff and a few from the walk down to Torpedo Wharf.

Weekend in San Francisco ~ Part II ~ Flowers

I was going to have Part II be the Dutch Windmill at the NW corner of the Golden Gate Park, but decided all of us without a flowery Spring need to see some FLOWERS. 🙂

We did a lot of walking along the coast in the Presidio…I absolutely love all of the trails they had there. The weather was beautiful…slight fog/grey skies then the sun came out later that afternoon. Next trip to San Francisco…I’d like to spend it all in the Presidio!

First two are from a bed on the east side of the de Young Museum…the flower and the berry that followed.

This one from the Japanese Tea Garden….

The following were taken between Lincoln Park at the USS San Francisco Memorial to The Presidio along Lincoln Blvd, between Battery Godfrey (1895) and Battery Boutelle (1900).

The last photographs I took were from the walking trail down to the Torpedo Wharf (1908) from the Lincoln Blvd parking lot, on the east side of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Tomorrow I’ll have photographs of the Dutch Windmill and ooooooodles of the Golden Gate Bridge.
